Ashley has been planning weddings & events for the past decade. Before becoming a Wedding Planner, she graduated from Johnson & Wales with a bachelors in Sports Entertainment and Event Management with a concentration in Food Service Management. After completing her education, Ashley worked at a variety of different hotels in Boston and Washington D.C. creating & crafting social, non -profit and corporate events for a wide range of clientele.

How did your journey as a wedding planner begin?

I have been passionate about events ever since I was a kid. I would fantasize about who I would be when I grew up while drawing pictures of wedding dresses on my grandmother’s floor. The first wedding I attended I was the flower girl. I remember how happy everyone was and how special I felt being a small part of my aunt and uncles’ special day. Ever since, I’ve wanted to continue being a small part in as many “special days” as I can. A wedding is one of the most momentous days in a couple’s journey together. Being there leading up to the big day and taking part in putting it all together gives me so much joy. The happiness that exudes at a wedding is unlike anything in this world and I am lucky I get to experience it over and over week after week.

Explain your vibe as a wedding planner…

We use the term bestie a lot in our packages. That’s because we really do foster a BBF like relationships with all of our clients. When you create a relationship like this it makes for more open and honest conversation throughout your planning. It also just makes our detail calls & walk through more fun! When you’re planning a wedding, you need someone with a light and airy attitude who is positive & helps you relax! We are a group of type A, organized and detail-oriented event professionals who also bring the relaxing energy you need when navigating through your planning process.

Will you be there on the day of our wedding?

Either myself or one of our dedicated, experienced day of besties will be there on your special day. The AFE team is built of several seasoned event professionals. Depending on the package, you will have 1 event manager and the possibility of 1-2 event assistants as well. Prior to your event date you will have the opportunity to connect with your event manager so you can get to know each other ensuring a seamless transition.
